Privacy Policy
The Lash Reveal respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. Plain language, no surprises.
Who we are
"The Lash Reveal" (also referred to as "we," "our," or "us") is a solo lash and brow artistry business owned and operated by Julia Harris in Atlanta, Georgia. Our website is thelashreveal.com.
What we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. Specifically:
- When you visit the site: standard server log information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) collected automatically by our hosting provider, Netlify. This is industry-standard and used only for security and performance.
- When you contact us: any information you choose to share in an email, including your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message.
- When you book an appointment: booking is handled through Square Appointments. Square collects the information needed to schedule and process payment for your appointment (name, contact info, payment details, appointment history). The Lash Reveal does not directly store your payment information.
What we don’t collect
We do not currently use website analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies on this site. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with marketers. We do not maintain an email marketing list unless you have explicitly opted in.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries
- To schedule, prepare for, and follow up on your appointment
- To process payment for services rendered
- To occasionally reach out about your existing appointment, aftercare, or rebooking — never as marketing without your explicit consent
Third-party services we rely on
Our site and business depend on a small number of trusted services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Netlify — hosts our website. Netlify privacy policy
- Square — handles all booking, scheduling, and payment processing. Square privacy policy
- Porkbun — manages our domain and forwards email sent to addresses on this domain. Porkbun privacy policy
Photography and client images
We may take before-and-after photographs of your lash work for our portfolio, social media, or website. We will always ask first. If you do not want your photo used, simply tell Julia at your appointment — no explanation needed, no awkwardness. Saying no does not affect the quality of your service in any way.
How long we keep your information
Appointment and contact records are retained as long as you remain an active client and for a reasonable period afterward (typically 2–3 years), in case of return visits or follow-up questions. You may request deletion of your information at any time using the contact details below.
Your rights
You can:
- Ask what information we have about you
- Ask us to update or correct it
- Ask us to delete it (subject to any legal record-keeping obligations)
- Opt out of any future communications
Just send an email and we’ll handle it — no forms, no friction.
Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed to anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has shared personal information with us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Updates to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected on the homepage briefly so returning visitors can see them.
